Harini's harvest - contemporary farm house, an hour's drive from Coimbatore and a little more down, Nilgiri Hills, tucked into wilderness. A must staycation for those who love to walk through your bygone days and hold an eye for detail. Re-live your vacation as a kid, glimpse of grandma's collectibles, functional farm experience, fresh food- the traditional way (pre booked at additional charges ), an escape from the city and bestow to nature. The space
The house is built with taste and functionality. Built on porotherm bricks to reduce heat and provide a perfect ambience even during summer, hence we have kept away air conditioners. The plush bedroom houses a king size bed and two single cots with mattress, an attached bath room and a dressing space. Additional floor mattress or charpoys can be accommodated within. Airy, well lit space for a family or friends to connect, share and unwind.
The living room expance holds a traditional charpoy, additional charpoys or folding mattress can be accommodated. We have Burma mats, unique grass mats from Chettinad to add on the experience of Tamil tradition and farm life. The additional bath room is accessible from the living area.
Kindly note we do not have multiple private bedrooms when booked for group stay.
Welcome guests to get into the farm and sneak peak into our farming routines, we cultivate bananas, fodder crops amidst the coconut grove. We have cucumbers under playhouses. Some fruits and vegetable spread across the 10 acre farm.
Water is precious, we house in a grand rain water harvesting system. For every litre of water saved by guests during their stay, we can harvest 10 more cucumbers from the polyhouse. Be supportive and help save water.

Other things to note
Here's a bit of information not to miss out:
•Food is available at the cost of Rs.1000/adult (kids under 8yrs are hosted free).
•Food is prepared by the host in a traditional way using farm help. Menu is based on seasonal availability of supplies. Pre order and pre pay as per need, at the time of your booking.
Do carry essentials, or anything else specific to your taste/needs.
•You are welcome to cook your own meal. Do carry other groceries according to your needs and group size in case you wish to cook all your meals, the kitchen has sufficient cook ware and tableware.
•Farm fresh milk is available (6.00 am and 4.00 pm). Prepare and enjoy coffee or tea to your convenience. Kindly carry your own snacks.
•Ensure food is not wasted. Request you to return if any excess.
•Help yourself with keeping away ants/bugs during your stay, by self cleaning dining space, food spills and used dishes. The dishwasher is functional and can be used at will.
•Toiletries, towels are provided.
•Stepping out in the dark/night is not an adventurous act. Kindly avoid walking out in dark. Keep a torch handy. Rodents, racoons, frogs, toads, spiders, bugs, snakes, scorpions are natural inhabitants of a farm land and it's best not to encroach into their habitats. Farm animals may be apprehensive to visitors. However it is a safe environment when we exercise caution with responsibility.
•Bring in all your personal medications, the closest hospital is miles away.
•Take note on our "No Smoking, No alcohol, No party" house rule. Make your stay memorable for us as well.
•We do not promise luxury and guest service alike hotels, resorts. We share our home and host with a passion to create an experience at a functional farm. Hospitality is our tradition and we strive to bring in our best.
•Best outdoor times are the early mornings and before dusk to have a glimpse of milking cows, bird sightings. Take a stride during the day (host guided) to understand farming activities and a bounty of Vitamin D. Enjoy outdoors with few games we house. Enjoy indoors with the board games (traditional and modern) stored. Download a movie and bring it in to watch on big screen, there's Tata Play adding in to your indoor entertainment.
•Electricity , Internet connectivity are subject to conditions, Inverter back up supply will support essential lights and fans.
•Stay with us to enjoy nature, experience the life of a farmer, explore on our collectibles (Tanjore paintings, wall art by local artisans, South India's floor tiles, wood work, beddings, utensils and cuisine) set forth to reconnect with custom, culture, ethnicity and wisdom.
•We are prepared to entertain individuals who have a flare to interact and learn from our experience in making the farm and the farm stay, accept imperfections and understand hospitality from the heart.
•Any SUV can make it until the farm house.
•The last 1 km to the farm house is a rugged terrain- adding in the thrill. We can pitch in the final commute with our “Mighty” Mahindra Thar, if informed ahead.
