A brand-new, two-bedroom, two-bathroom mud-brick villa in the heart of Varkala, crafted entirely with non-toxic, natural materials. Sunlit rooms, deep bathtubs, and wide windows create a calm, airy feel. The home is all yours, including private kitchen. The spacious dining room and open villa layout flow directly into a private garden, offering a peaceful, nature-connected stay just moments from cafés, beaches, and daily conveniences.
The space
The home is intentionally slow-paced. Only a few electrical cables run through the walls, the lights are dim and there’s no TV. It still has comforts like wi-fi and AC, but they’re offered in a way that inspires balance.
Imagine yourself connecting to the internet, but needing to wait half an hour to use your laptop while it charges in the awkward spot the power socket sits. Imagine syncing your circadian rhythm to the sun, but having air-conditioning on for a break from the intensity of Kerala’s February heat. Imagine relaxing on our couch and hearing no other sounds apart from the lazy drawls of our neighbouring cows.
As a guest of Omana’s House, we invite you to disconnect from the chaos of the world so you can reconnect with your creativity, your stillness and the people around you. That’s not an invitation everyone wants to accept, but for some, it will be a pause so pure and soothing they never want to leave.
Guest access
As a stand alone home, the entire space is yours. You will have the full 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom villa to yourself. Our team only access the property for housecleaning services.
Other things to note
We don't currently have a food and beverage service at the villa, as most guests like to explore the incredible food scene of Varkala and prepare a few of their own meals in the villa's private kitchen. However, we are able to help arrange a private chef to come to the villa, and can also connect you with a local driver that can collect take-away from any nearby cafe or restaurant.
