Tucked into Delhi's historic neighborhood Mehrauli, this stunning heritage property includes 4 rooms, an architecturally-stunning courtyard, a living and dining area flooded with light, and a welcome room with a floating couch.
Your completely-private, two-room suite will include the main bedroom with a double bed, a small desk, and AC. The sofa-cum-bed with trundle in the attached smaller room can be a peaceful sitting area or used to sleep up to two additional adults or children.
The space
A simple, bold stone marks the entrance to Siddiq Manzil, located just off the winding street between Mehta Chowk and the Zafar Mahal in Delhi's most historical neighborhood - Mehrauli. This stone stands as a reminder of a property whose history includes many chapters. Built in 1936, Siddiq Manzil has gone through many iterations, yet stands today to tell the history of a this historical yet rapidly-changing village.
Named for the two brothers who built it, "Siddiq" means honesty, sincerity, and truth and "Manzil" means house or destination. Reflecting the name, Siddiq Manzil today stands as a place of integrity and trustworthiness for travelers, especially those looking for a family-friendly, warm, and culturally-rich place to stay.
Located in the middle of bustling Mehrauli, Siddiq Manzil isn't the easiest place to find. Yet in return for the accessibility challenge you'll receive a calm, quiet, and beautiful experience inside the door and a culturally and historically rich experience outside the doors.
Guest access
You'll have a private room with attached bath. You'll also have access to a central courtyard, a living and dining room area, and two addition rooms used for welcoming guests.
During your stay
I co-host this space with several trusted friends - Reuben, Faeem, and Ajaz. You may be hearing from any one of us during the process.
You will also be given an access code the back door so that you can let yourself in as needed.
Other things to note
Siddiq Manziel 1936 is located "inside" of Mehrauli, making it slightly difficult to access. The closest intersection is Mehta Chowk were taxis are able to come and go. From there just a short 50 meter walk remains to the front door.
We also don't have any parking area in front of Siddiq Manzil 1936. Area for parking can be found in Mehta Chowk or in other parts of Mehrauli.

Neighbourhood highlights
Mehrauli, sitting in the shadow of the Qutub Minar, is Delhi's most historic neighborhood. It's dotted with the remains of kingdoms from the last thousand years, housing six major world religions, and bustling with modern-day life. The juxtaposition of new against old creates an incredible journey through time.
Mehrauli is packed with history, culture, and life. With only a couple of entry points to this city within the city, Mehrauli has a "village-like" feel, yet also poses some accessibility challenges. The best way into Mehrauli is from the direction of the Qutub Minar Metro Station along the "Dadabari Jain Mandir" road that leads up to Mehta Chowk. From Mehta Chowk we're just around the corner.
