Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

Nestled in the woods, but not on the lake; within a few miles of 5 public boat launches providing access to Lake Vermilion. Local bar/restaurants close by. Private and serene, located on the second story of the home's garage. Private entrance with a deck. Room for boat and snowmobile trailers. Small dogs welcomed meeting some general criteria.

There are 3 Public Boat Launch sites nearby and we are conveniently located near the middle of Lake Vermilion. We have parking with room for your boat or snowmobiles. Our home is a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath, four season lake home with absolutely amazing lake views! This is a 2500 sq ft year-round home with open floor living area and lake views that will take your breath away! There is an electric sauna, an outdoor fire pit & an UNFINISHED 3 season porch. Our dog friendly home sits on 12 acres of wooded land and we have 150 feet of rocky shoreline across the road. We are a 10 minute drive from downtown Ely on Shagawa lake.

You’ll love my place because of the quiet neighborhood and three levels of living space with a large backyard deck. Main level has full kitchen, dining room, living room with a 1/2 bath. Upstairs is one large bedroom with queen bed and two tiny bedrooms each with a full-size bed. Down the hall upstairs is a full bath. The finished basement has a family room with a full bath and laundry room.
