Peaceful Family Cabin in Skogen

A peaceful family cottage in scenic surroundings. The cabin is located unashamedly overlooking a lovely quiet water, with great Blefjell in the back. Here you can trudge down to the water for a dip, fishing trip or canoeing exploration. Behind the cabin and further inwards in the direction of Blefjell there is a lot of forest to discover, and both blueberries and lingonberries to pick. Blefjell is a 20 minute drive, which provides fantastic hiking opportunities both summer and winter. There are two fireplaces in the cabin (and wood is included in the price ).

We rent our holiday paradise on Rauland. The cabin was new winter 2023 and is located on a hill with panoramic views of Lake Totak. Short distance to the city center (4 km). The area offers great hiking possibilities in the summer and winter. In the winter you can buckle up at the cabin and exit the trail network in Rauland which is over 150 km. If you drive 15 minutes you are in the slopes of Holtardalen. If you walk 10 minutes you will get to nice sandy beaches at Totak. More hiking trails in forest terrain in the immediate vicinity

Enjoy the view of Gaustatoppen, Kvitåvatn and down towards Rjukan! Summer, autumn and not least winter this is the ultimate starting point for mountain activities; ski in/out, cross country skiing and mountain hiking. In addition, hotels, restaurants, shop, bakery, ski room + + are a small walk away. Location in the middle of the hill and with access to evening driving when the ski resort is open for it. Take the path to Gaustatoppen and stand off slopes, or choose off slopes among the many other possibilities in the area.

We want others to enjoy this great place, therefore we want to rent out our cabin to adults, responsible people during periods we do not use the cabin ourselves. The cabin is centrally located with only a 1.5 hour drive from Oslo. Great hiking areas with walking, cycling and skiing to Blestølen and Blefjell Lodge. Great hiking areas right by the cabin wall. There is a road to the cabin door, running electricity and water. Very good sun conditions from early morning, until well into the evening It is well equipped

Our cottage is new and has a very high standard. The decor is modern and good quality. The cabin has a natural colour scheme inspired by nature's colour palette. Floor heating cables provide a comfortable warmth throughout the cabin. There is a separate bathroom with a bath and its own toilet. We are keen for our guests to sleep well. All beds are of good quality. One double bed 180 cm wide, one bed 120 cm wide, four beds 100 cm wide. All beds are made up and sheets and towels are included in the price.

Great location with proximity to alpine skiing and cross country trails. View to Gausta peak (1883 m). Hardangervidda with many great hiking and biking trails. The cottage has amazing sun conditions all day long. The cottage is suitable for families. Modern cottage. Great decorated living room and kitchen, 4 large bedrooms with large beds and 2 bathrooms with shower and WC on both. Terrace with new great outdoor furniture and gas grill. Bed linen and towels can be rented.
