Black Mountain is situated in the foot hills of the Kaikoura Seaward Ranges and 6km North of the Kaikoura township. The home is designed for short and long term stays, is very private and enjoys a rural aspect. Bedroom, living, dining, bath and deck all enjoy mountain and garden views and it is possible to see the ocean from the surrounds. On arrival you will find freshly some freshly prepared provisions - probably enough for a little breakfast for two on me for your first morning!

The Cottage is perfect for a a couple, two couples, four-member family or a small group. It is a two bedroom unit that can sleep four people. One room is housing a queen size bed and the room next door holds two single beds. When you arrive you will walk up the garden entrance to the scenic private deck. When you enter the Cottage you'll see kitchen to the left followed by the bathroom suite and the living/eating area to your right.

We are on the waterfront, Esplanade

Priceless ocean and mountain views. Our house is situated opposite the pacific ocean. We would like to share our own Kaikoura holiday home with you. Our holiday home is just an ordinary, basic house but we have extraordinary views! Just 15 minutes walk to town or 2 minutes drive. Some activities you will enjoy are: whale watching, swimming with dolphins and seals, kayaking, and walks in the Kaikoura native bush.

Modern executive home with fantastic rural views. Large well equipped house with 3 bathrooms. All rooms get full sun and spend the evenings on the upstairs deck. Table tennis table in the garage. Ideal for two families or a small group. Can comfortably sleep up to 11 people. Very close to the house are the Matuku walking track and the Kowhai mountain bike track.

Our spacious apartment is downstairs in our home with its own entrance and spacious patio to enjoy the view of the garden and distant mountains. Tea , coffee and milk are provided upon arrival. We are 2km from the town center and 3.5km to Whale Watch therefore if you are arriving by bus or train and walking our accommodation may not suit you 😊
