Exclusively Charming Sanitized Cottage, near Promenade

Share a bottle of wine at sunset on a private patio in the shade of a retractable awning. A casual seaside ambiance is created indoors by softwood floors, inviting couches, and fresh blue-and-white decor. Choose a book from a shelf to read in bed. The entire cottage is your space. Visitors like the fact the street is a Cul-de-Sac so there is minimal traffic noise. Also, Visitors enjoy the patio area that enables them to sit and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, enjoy an early morning breakfast outdoors, or enjoy the tranquility of the patio, over an ice cold sundowner, at sunset, watching paragliders decend from the rump of Lion's head, the mountain, situated above the cottage. Our Co Hosts, George & Avril, who live over the road will assist you with any of your immediate needs. We have, for your convenience, a self-check-in arrangement which sets you free to arrive any time after 14h00, on the appointed check in date, Namely: On the outside wall, the front right hand gate post, there is an electronic key pad. You will need to enter 4 digets on the numeric key pad to gain access to the patio. Once on the patio you will find a key box which also requires a 4 diget code to open. The key box contains the keys to the home as well as the outside gate. We will provide you with full instructions, one week prior to your arrival, by means of a welcome letter. George and Avril are your’ co-hosts during your stay, they will be on standby to assist you with anything you may need, while respecting your’ privacy. The cottage is located in quiet street in Sea Point, a Cosmopolitan suburb on the Atlantic seaboard. An easy walking distance to beaches, the public swimming pool, synagogue and a promenade where you can walk, jog, sight see, ride bikes, or sit and enjoy a breakfast or coffee at nearby restaurants. Explore the Outdoors, hop on a bus to the City, visit Table Mountain or the popular Waterfront. The great way to get around is an inter-city bus service, called MYCiti. They have regular and affordable bus service to the down town city, and the very popular Cape Town Water Front and Cable Way to Table Mountain. You will need a MYCiti swipe card. There are two cards in the Cottage but if more are required they can be purchased at the local SPAR in Sea Point. The cards will need to be pre-loaded with a fare from your credit or debit card. see (URL HIDDEN) Uber Taxis are also an affordable and popular way to get around. Down load the Uber App on your Smart Phone and they will come to the door. There is no off street parking, guests are advised to not leave valuables visible in their vehicles whilst parked in Duncan Rd.

Victorian Charm Steps from Kloof Street

Take morning coffee in a sun-dappled courtyard among pots and eclectic ornaments. African arts such as beaded animal sculptures, masks, dolls, and other well-placed treasures blend with Scandinavian simplicity to create a real home feel. Being an old house, built in 1900 with later add-ons, it has a lot of charm and personality, which includes somewhat unusual architectural solutions.... Guests should be aware that the two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are next to each other, so to get from the first bedroom to the bathroom you must pass through the second bedroom. Welcome to our Cape Town home, which we hope you will enjoy as much as we do! If you are interested in arts, crafts, and handmade products we hope and think that our home can be of inspiration. The interior of our Victorian cottage has an overall idea: To engage local and African crafters, adding some Scandinavian design where suitable - and always with a smile. Our home is constantly a "work in process" zone, but still comfortable and a typical "lock up and go" place. As our guest you are invited to enjoy the entire house. We may not have the biggest home for rental, but you can easily sleep 7 people here. (there is also an extra mattress available, so 8 people is also fine) Most probably you will not meet me in person during your stay - instead you will meet Chris, my co-host and good friend. Chris will be your contact person, and I am also always available via email and phone. Walking distance from trendy Kloof Street, the neighborhood is still quiet and friendly. Shops, museums, galleries, bars, restaurants, and even Lion's Head mountain are all within reach on foot. Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are just a short drive. Cape Town's MyBus public transport is 3 minutes away, connecting you to the rest of the city. We find Uber the best way to get around in the city, if not walking. Our house dates from 1900 and heritage protected. It is a 'living' house, in the sense that the floors are skew, there will always be new cracks etc. We do maintenance work every year, but it will never be perfect. And this is why we love the house so much, I guess: Perfect, because it is imperfect. During summer heat waves the upstairs room can be a challenge to sleep in, but the newly installed aircon has solved this issue almost entirely... We are also working on additional features to get better air circulation upstairs, but due to heritage laws it takes some time to implement the changes....but they will surely come!

Soak up the sun on the loungers and cool off in the private pool. Open plan living and kitchen areas give easy access to the patio. The upstairs patio has sweeping views of the mountains and the sea. Perfectly positioned to explore Cape Town. Views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. 2 smaller bedrooms share a bathroom. Main bedroom has en-suite shower and toilet. 3rd toilet downstairs. Bedrooms upstairs--living area downstairs. Comfortable and cosy, luxury linen ,fully equipped kitchen. Private parking for 2 cars --right outside the front door. Private small garden with sweeping views over Atlantic Ocean. Private swimming pool off patio. Nox Management company is available as needed. I can be reached on my cell if needed. Enjoy a casual stroll to the Camps Bay beach front for bars, shops and restaurants or take a quick drive to theTable Mountain Cableway, Clifton Beach, the V+A Waterfront, or Groot Constantia. The villa is on the border of the Cape Nature Reserve so you can enjoy the unique flowers and bird life. Ocasionally there are naturally occuring insects that are important to the ecosystem and totally harmless to humans. Yes--there is a bus stop about 400 m away. Uber is readily available and reasonable to use especially for areas where parking is a problem. I do recommend that visitors to this townhouse have their own transport or use Uber. The townhouse is in a complex and shares one wall with a neighbour. Pool not fenced so not suitable for young children.

Find space to recharge in an minimalist custom design historic home. Rejuvenate the senses in an aesthetically soothing space with a monochrome theme, a blend of contemporary and classic finishes, original art throughout, and mountain views. The sublime architecture of the house makes this space unique and extremely pleasant to live. The area is super safe and full of awesome restaurants and bars. The square is one of the nicest downtown and it is in an heritage area. The house is also very secure, with alarm, secure gates etc. Guests are allowed to smoke on the terrace, not inside the loft. Guests have exclusive access to all areas of the main house I do not live in the property but I am available when needed The area is most central to all of Cape Town, set amid very hip and historic spots. The neighborhood is home to a number of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The square in front of the house has ample free public parking available for cars. Uber is the quickest, most convenient and affordable way to get around. The nearest hop on, hop off bus stop is 150m from the house. For public transport the nearest MyCity bus stop is 400m from the house. Cleaning and laundry service is available by arrangement The area is most central to all of Cape Town, set amid very hip and historic spots. The neighborhood is home to a large number of restaurants, cafes, and shops.

It is a short drive to the CBD on one side, or Clifton and Camps Bay on the other. Very easy to grab a affordable Uber, otherwise take a short walk to the nearest MyCiki bus station.
